European Stadium Tour Transportation for One Direction

In the beginning we were asked to do the planning of drives for the Production Manager to make sure they could be achieved in the time frame and also to know where second drivers would be required.

With such a high profile band, secrecy was paramount, the location of the rehearsals, what the show looked like etc.

We supplied all the trucking for the rehearsals and for the tour, there were 33 trucks, 27 Mega Cube Boxes, 1 double deck trailer, 1 Mega curtain side trailer & 2 PSK Generator trailer these where on the Main production, we also had 2 advance trailers one on each team carrying the advance catering. The tour was 9 weeks long; we supplied all the ATA carnets for Switzerland and double drivers for the overdrives. We also ordered all the driving permits for the tour so the trucks can run on Sundays, Night bans, Saturday Bans as it was in the summer and city permits.

Once the tour was out Dave Ballantyne who was our lead driver and Mark Coleman his assistant would take care of the day to day running of the trucks the Load in and Out’s, in conjunction with the Stage managers.

The tour was a resounding success with sold out concerts throughout
